Dylan's first brush with web development came in 2016 while working at a bakery in Hyannis, Cape Cod. The bakery, a wholesale distributor of artisanal cookies, was looking to overhaul its website. With no experience, Dylan committed to the project not really knowing what he was getting himself into. After diving in, he was hooked. He learned photography in order to update the product photos on the website. Next, he learned the ins and outs of graphic design before moving on to studying eCommerce and its intricacies so that the bakery could sell and ship cookies through the site. . Finally, he honed his digital marketing skills to drive users to the new site.
The entire experience was challenging but also eye-opening. Dylan clearly saw the need local businesses in the community had for skilled professionals who could overhaul their digital experiences. He eventually started gaining new clients, building additional skills, and launching new sites. Dylan eventually built his own company, Saddleback Solutions LLC, which he eventually sold to 118Group in 2017 when joining their growing team. Starting as a project manager, Dylan learned the ins and outs of project management before being promoted to Head of Web Projects, and eventually CEO in 2020.
As CEO, Dylan’s main goal is to make sure that the needs of our clients and our team are always met. Dylan is fueled by a desire to deliver an excellent customer experience and is constantly looking for ways to improve the way 118Group does business.
When not in his office, Dylan can be found walking his dogs Krill and Laika, training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or spending time with family & friends.
Greg started his journey in project management with an internship at a Boston-based technology startup while in school at Suffolk University. While there, Greg learned the importance of communicating effectively, setting proper expectations, and coordinating resources for projects. He excelled, and eventually, this turned into a full-time job upon graduation, where he remained until the startup was sold in 2019.
At 118Group, Greg's role is to be the bridge between our client's needs and the skills of our team. He excels at taking incoming client requests, communicating expectations, and coordinating between our graphic designers & developers to ensure 118Group delivers.
When not in his office, Greg can be found running along the Charles River in Boston, skiing, or whipping up something delicious in the kitchen.
Matt first started in web development and programming after leaving the military where he served in the Army National Guard as an infantryman deploying to Afghanistan in 2010. He started by earning a certificate in web application development and programming, eventually getting an internship at a 3D design studio where he worked on augmented reality applications. After completion of his internship, Matt began working as a WordPress developer for an agency in Florida where built custom WordPress themes for clients.
Now, Matt serves as the backbone of the 118Group support system. If you've ever had an urgent technical issue, Matt has been there to help get it fixed. On top of that, Matt helps to manage all of the hosting infrastructures for our client sites and knows more about DNS than he'd probably like to!
When not working, Matt can be found on the Gulf of Mexico boating, scuba diving in the keys, or at CrossFit classes early in the mornings before work.
