Mass Aging Access

Expanding access to vital services and supports for a stronger, healthier Massachusetts.

The Problem.

Before becoming Aging Access, the organization was known as Mass HomeCare, a name that no longer fully represented its mission. With a focus on advocating for 27 of Massachusetts’ aging service agencies, they needed a brand that reflected this expanded purpose. The transition called for not just a new identity but also a website capable of showcasing the breadth and impact of their work.

Our Solutions.

New Brand Identity

To kick off the project, we crafted a fresh and vibrant brand identity centered around the concept of “Access”. Chevrons, symbolizing forward movement and connection, became a key element in the design, while a harmonious blend of warm and cool tones evoked both trust and energy. The new logo not only reflects Aging Access’s mission but also positions them as a modern, accessible resource for all aging services across the state.

Strong Messaging

We worked closely with the client to develop strong, clear messaging that speaks directly to their mission. The copy we created emphasizes their commitment to building a healthier, stronger Massachusetts by expanding access to essential services for the elderly and their families. This messaging is woven into the brand’s voice across the website, ensuring that every visitor understands the organization’s vital role in the community.

Member Lookup Tool

One of Aging Access’s key functions is to connect individuals with the appropriate aging service agency in their area. To enhance this process, we built an intuitive Member Lookup tool that allows users to input their town and instantly find the nearest organization. This feature streamlines access to critical services, making it easier for seniors and their families to get the help they need.

Event Calendar Tool

Representing 27 diverse aging service agencies, Aging Access wanted to simplify the way users could view and participate in local events. We developed a centralized Event Calendar that aggregates events from all member organizations. Not only can visitors view all upcoming activities in one place, but Aging Access’s partners can also submit their events, creating a community-driven, comprehensive event directory for all involved.

Career & Volunteer Opportunity Directory

Aging Access also wanted to make it easier for users to explore career and volunteer opportunities across its 27 member agencies. We designed an easy-to-navigate Career & Volunteer Directory, allowing individuals to view opportunities by region and access direct links to apply. This feature enhances the visibility of aging service careers and promotes community involvement.

The Finished Product.

The final product is a completely transformed brand and website. Aging Access now has a modern, user-friendly platform that not only elevates its message but also provides a powerful resource for the aging population in Massachusetts. With improved functionality, including the Member Lookup Tool, Event Calendar, and Career & Volunteer Directory, Aging Access is positioned to lead the way in connecting people with essential aging services and opportunities.

118Group assisted us with our organization's rebranding project, creating a new logo and website for our nonprofit. They were excellent to work with, patient (it was a longish process which was completely due to our side's slowness in decision making), and proactive with communication. We were thrilled with all of the design work!

Their development team hit a small glitch as they had to incorporate a separate software package we'd purchased and that presented some challenges, but they were able to solve the problems and integrate the software smoothly into the rest of the website's design.

We have received so many compliments on the new site since it launched last month! (I should add that one of the reasons we selected 118Group was because one of our members had previously used them for a similar project and was equally delighted with the results.)

Thank you to Dylan, Greg, Marly, and the entire 118Group team!
